Cindy Ojczyk, LEED AP, is firmly committed to the values of Green design, building, and living. Her formal education and professional experience has been her guide to understanding the complex relationship between humans and the natural environment. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Science degree in Nutrition Education from Andrews University, and an Associate of Applied Science in Interior Design from Century College.
Cindy’s belief in the power of the human spirit to solve difficult problems engages her passion for collaboration in pursuit of common goals. Cindy used her expertise as a LEED Accredited Professional to guide the design and construction of the first silver-level LEED home in Minnesota. She also served as a key member of the Green Remodeling Group that developed the MN GreenStar Certification for Green Homes and Remodeling Program and continues to serve on its Technical Committee. Cindy was co-founder of the Green Committee of the American Society of Interior Designers MN Chapter.
Her clear communication style and enthusiasm has led her to being a featured speaker at Green building conferences and an effective trainer for client presentations. She is a talented writer and expresses her views as the official environmental blogger for Press Publications.
Cindy is also an award winning interior designer and owner of Simply Green Design. Her work has been featured in many shelter publications. She has contributed design services to new home and remodeling projects that have participated in the MN GreenStar and LEED for Homes programs.
In the spirit of sharing and the abundance it brings to an individual and a community, Cindy co-founded Verified Green in response to industry peers seeking help in understanding Green.
