Christine Bleyhl is firmly committed to helping people think beyond sustainability. She works to retrain habits and behaviors on a personal, business, and community level by working with big picture ideas that have real-life practical impacts.
Christine grew up within the backdrop of the Boundary Waters, with the iron ore industry as lifeblood. She has seen the struggles between industrialization and the impacts of material scarcity and the natural world through diversification, opportunism, and legacy-building. She spent time studying architecture in Venice, Italy and witnessed firsthand how water has been used for both waste management and a breadbasket for the world. She is a project director at a residential design build firm and has been designing and building green projects for over a decade.
Christine has spent recent years creating and marketing the MNGreenStar Program on a volunteer basis. She currently sits on the Technical Advisory Committee for MNGreenStar and advocates for other states to adopt the program in the mid- and northwest United States. Christine is a regular speaker at regional sustainability conferences and builder trainings throughout the region.
