Abe is a certified Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Trainer and Rater and provides green building trainings and presentations at regional and national conferences, including RESNET (Residential Energy Services Network), ACI (formally Affordable Comfort), Green Prints and Green Build.

Mr. Kruger is also assisting GoodCents in administering a utility sponsored Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program in Ohio and an ENERGY STAR for Homes program in VA.

Abe Kruger was the manager of Southface’s HERS Rating Providership (Southface Energy Rated Homes) and the residential ENERGY STAR for Homes program and oversaw more than 1,000 ENERGY STAR home certifications. Mr. Kruger has conducted over 15 week long HERS Rater Trainings throughout the southeast and in Puerto Rico.

Mr. Kruger sits on the RESNET national Technical Committee and helped develop the RESNET National Home Energy Audit Standard. He also provides green building and ENERGY STAR curriculum development and training delivery to clients that include York Technical College in Rock Hill, SC and Green Spaces Chattanooga. His trainings consist of a combination of lecture, in class exercise and hands on field experience.
